A sweaty, bearded, Chace Crawford, is DOWN UNDER greeting fans at a Diet Coke pop-up photo set in Martin Place in Sydney, Australia. Known to most as Gossip Girl’s resident heartthrob, Nate Archibald, Chace charmed his female fans in Sydney by looking rugged, if not a bit messy, and handled his in-person appearance for Diet Coke all at the same time. As you know, I’m a self-confessed Gossip Girl addict. It is like candy, which is full of empty calories which you know is bad for you, but you just can’t stop eating. The show is also getting increasingly worse this season, but so bad it’s good kind of worse. In the current fifth season Nathaniel Archibald is all grown up and running “The Spectator” as an up and coming media mogul. In real life, Chace Crawford doesn’t look quite as slick, but I like it this way. In the pics from Sydney, he is sporting a scraggly beard, which gives off a much more casual and rustic vibe and in the sticky Australian humidity, he is not able to hide his sweaty armpits. I like Chace looking like this though. Especially with him guzzling a Diet Coke, he is totally giving off the I’m-a-sexy-man-who-does-hard-labor kind of look, rather than I’m-an-actor-from-Manhattan-who-only-gets-limos-to-work. I like my Nate Archibald this way rather.. what do you think??
